At a young age, we’ve all learned when something is dirty, wash it and bam it’s clean! We all know clean is a good thing. But when it comes to hair, that fact is absolute wrong! 80% of individual believe washing their hair everyday is a good thing and Im here to set the record straight!
Washing your hair everyday or every other day is actually causing more damage than good! YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY! By washing your hair everyday, you are stripping your natural oils which makes your scalp super dry! When you have a dry scalp, your scalp begins to produce more and more oils and therefore makes your hair much more greasier faster!!!! You can be washing your hair even with the best shampoo daily and it will still become dry and rough. Plus your hair texture will change. Not only does washing your hair lead to a dry scalp but if you are a person who colors his or her hair, you are washing off your color every time!! The more you wash, the quicker the toner is removed. Say goodbye to that beautiful color. If you wash your hair every day or every other day, my advise is to retrain your hair. Normally, a person should wash his or her hair every 3-4 days. In the beginning, it will seem hard and yucky but eventually your hair will adapt to the change. If you workout everyday, just rinse your hair with water or use a dry shampoo. This will help you buy some time until you need to wash your hair. Save yourself and your hair!
